Our experience with Julio & everyone at Aldea Maya-ha was absolutely perfect - exceeding expectations. We wanted to be able to spend some quiet time with nature, visit Puerto Morales, and enjoy authentic food - this was the perfect place! We had just left a wedding at a busy resort, so we spent our first full day just enjoying the surroundings. The care and attention given to the amazing natural jungle as the space was created is clearly visible and provides a very relaxing atmosphere. It was such a treat to practice in the special yoga space they have created on site. We saw many fantastic birds as we relaxed near the cenotes. Later on during our stay, Julio and his family helped us arrange a taxi to Puerto Morales, where we were able to snorkel and spend time in town and the beach. And the food!!! Elda is an amazing chef - every meal was fantastic and there were so many vegan options! Meeting the family and learning about the space made the trip truly special - we will be back!

This was DEFINITELY a unique experience! The people were so friendly and welcoming and did a wonderful job at hosting including an amazing dinner! The place was extremely difficult to find (literally you have to start your distance as soon as you turn off 307; the “green house” is like a small sage color and right after it’s a small yellow gate on the same side (left hand side of the road). We had originally booked for 2 nights, but after 1 night, we decided to continue our travels. It was the closest version to “Naked and afraid” we’ve experienced; creatures in the night visited us throughout the entire night including a MASSIVE spider that climbed through my sons bed 😵‍💫 Obviously you are in a jungle… and bugs of all sorts are to be expected. The idea was great but the reality wasn’t so great. We didn’t get too much sleep throughout the night and literally slept with flashlights and kept waking to inspect the bed for critters and bugs. The cenotes on site were not clean by any means and we were not going to be swimming in them… I gave this a 4 star because it was truly a unique experience and maybe it was my comfort expectations that got in the way from truly enjoying it.

Schön für jung, verliebte und unkomplizierte Menschen. Unterkunft sehr gutem Bett, aber ansonsten ohne jeglichen Luxus. Reine Natur, Dusche war nicht so gut, Urwaldgefühl mit Geräuschen der Tierwelt war gigantisch. Allerdings wurde die Nachtruhe sehr gestört von den kläffenden Hunden in der ganzen Nachbarschaft. Es war fast unerträglich und unmöglich einzuschlafen. Der Kontakt zu dem Besitzer und seinem Sohn war sehr freundlich.

Tricky to find but well worth the search. Our family of 4 stayed, had dinner, had breakfast. We enjoyed the Cenotes as well. On site host Lenny was fantastic and made our stay feel easy and complete. The meandering paths, the sounds of birds and frogs, the art and craftsmanship of the structures — all great— and the main yoga palapa was truly a special place. Kind people, diligent service, good food, and a sense of calm reflection. I hope we can return one day.
