Quinta Barqueiros exceeded our expectations and was the highlight of our time in Portugal. The location is stunning, the lodgings are comfortable and clean, the hosts are friendly and helpful, the port is delicious… truly an incredible experience on every level. We felt so welcome and at home, we enjoyed the pool and the amazing views of the Douro, as well as an onsite port tasting, walks to village cafes, and excellent local cuisine. Jose, Elda, and their sons are so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable of the area. The Quinta is gorgeous and one can fill a peaceful day without even leaving the property. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. We will be back on our next visit to Portugal, and will make Quinta Barquieros the focus of our stay! Can’t say enough about this very special location.

Beautiful stay with wonderful views and wonderful people and animals. Recommend to everyone from everywhere! Recommend doing port wine tasting on the family estate and guided winery tour with Vasca. Muito abrigada!

We wanted to stay at a small Quinta and this was perfect. Owned by a family that truly cares about their guests, making amazing wine and port. We were greeted by 2 guest cats and Cacoa their beautiful friendly dog. We were offered a glass of wine and then showed our room. It was perfect for two couples. We were able to walk through the Quinta and see the entire place. It was a really cool day so they lit a fire for us in a the common area. We did a port tasting with Diogo and what a treat. This is small Quinta and the quality of the product is unbelievable. We did a port tasting in Porto at one of the big Quinta’s and we preferred theirs. Don’t hesitate to book this wonderfully quaint Quinta.

Excelente lugar, com uma vista incrível. Local muito aconchegante e calmo, bom para relaxar, completo silêncio. Os hosts nos receberam bem, sempre bem dispostos e respondiam sempre muito rápido. Hospedagem 10/10 voltarei no futuro para desfrutar do local com mais tempo.👏🏻
