I understood that it was a shared bathroom, but 5 people plus myself shared the same restroom, and the shower was not clean. There's an elderly Asian woman there that was rude and disrespectful, and she's a longterm guest. The room was spacious and clean but it was difficult to sleep being right beside the frequently visited bathroom. Not a good location if you don't have a car, as public transportation is a 30 minute walk away so you'll have to use Uber. The kitchen is always occupied by the long-term guests so cooking wasn't really an option. I was there for approximately 10 days, and would not recommend for that length of time but if you're in Houston for a weekend and have a car this would be a good and affordable place. The host Kay was sweet and very responsive, but the experience would have been better if the older Asian woman wasn't there treating the house as if she owned it.

I had a very good stay at Kay's. The room is bigger than what the photos on Airbnb make out. There's plenty of cupboard, pantry, fridge, and freezer space for your convenience and the area is quiet and decent. I'd definitely book with Kay again!
