Caswell Bay is a sought-after spot for surfers, families and those wanting to walk along the Gower coast.
The beach is a paradise for children: building sandcastles, rock climbing, rock pooling, swimming and surfing. The beauty of staying so close to the beach is that you can be swimming one minute and having a hot shower and a cup of tea the next!
From the apartment it is a five minute stroll to the Surfside Caswell beach cafe providing great meals, ice creams and coffees. There is also an ice-cream parlour and a surf school. The nearest village of Mumbles is a mile away - with a wide range of shops including M&S food, Tesco Express, Co-Op as well as a local deli, bakery, butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers etc. There are many cafes, restaurants, pubs, fish and chip shops, ice cream parlours and lots of small boutiques.
It’s a great base if you want to explore the beautiful Gower coastline. Many walks can be taken from the apartment (along the coastal paths to nearby unspoilt bays such as Brandy Cove and Pwll Du, or to Langland Bay with it's lovely beach huts and coffee/lunch stops.) Slightly further afield are the impressive beaches of Oxwich Bay, Three Cliffs and Rhossili. There are several fantastic golf courses nearby.
Swansea is a 25 minute drive with a huge Leisure Centre (swimming pools with waterslides, learn to surf wave, rock climbing and softplay), Limitless Trampoline park, theatres, cinemas, museums etc.
We have a guide to local restaurants etc in the apartment and a visitor's book where guests have written their recommendations. There are also guidebooks and maps in the apartment which you are welcome to borrow during your stay.

Parking is free in the private car park belonging to the Redcliffe block of flats. There is a fob to enter the car park which you can collect when you check in and use for the whole of your stay.
It is easiest to explore the Gower with a car.
