Incredibly beautiful home on the river with tons of interesting nautical -themed memorabilia throughout the house. Great covered porch area with propane firepits and wrap-around couches and chairs create wonderful conversation areas or idyllic spots to watch the river and barges float by. Easily the best equipped kitchen in a weekend rental I have ever encountered with two great gills on the covered porch. Be forewarned that you will have to navigate some steps at Rich's place and GPS gets a little confused getting you there. Just do your homework up front. Viewing the fall colors this past weekend from the River Hide-A-Way was just incredible from the hillside behind the house to the hills across the Ohio. Easy to see why they have put so much love and attention into their home away from home. We were lucky enough to find it on Airbnb and our group had nothing but positives for the host. Thank you for sharing your exquisite home and being such a gracious host.

We loved our stay here! Property is as pictured and described. If you love boating on the Ohio River or just having a beautiful view of the river, this is your place. They offer a paddle board and kayaks to play on the water, or bring your own boat and keep it at the very well maintained deep water dock. We were there four days, did bring a boat, and really never left the property - it’s such a peaceful and relaxing place. (I will caveat that by saying that trains to go nearby periodically which does disturb the otherwise perfect tranquility for a few minutes, but a minuscule sacrifice for such a beautiful place.) Thanks again Rich and Beth for a wonderful stay. We will return.

This house and the view from the decks are beautiful! It was exactly what my mom, my sisters and I needed when visiting family in the area.
