I cannot speak highly enough of this absolute gem. This home is a masterpiece and a dream! It is even more gorgeous than it looks in the photos, everywhere you turn will take your breath away. The house is very comfortable and well designed, with all the amenities you need for a weeklong stay. We loved both restaurants in the village, especially au Vieux Porche. There is so much to do in the area, between kayaking, hiking in the ardeche gorges and the cevennes, swimming in the many rivers and exploring neighboring villages. We really loved the Sablou swimming spot Yves recommended. Yves was so kind and responsive, and Elisabeth and José were such wonderful hosts!! I highly recommend this home for a magical time in Ardeche

Our week spent in this charming home was better than we expected. Living spaces were large, the outdoor dining area had a great view and was private. Though you can hear a bit of traffic on the little road in front, once it gets into the evening, the area is delightfully quiet. The home was spotless and had everything one might need. We loved many of the decorative details, including the large spiral staircase that resembles those in the nearby Chateau Roure. Elizabeth and José who greeted us gave clear instructions and made themselves available for any little thing we required. We never needed anything, but it was wonderful to know that they were there. We enjoyed exploring the Ardèche region and even got as far as Uzès. There are too many Plus Beaux Villages to mention. No matter your interest, there is plenty to do. We can’t say enough good things about the restaurant Le Petite Auberge where we enjoyed two leisurely evenings with their three course menu. Highly recommended.

We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf in de prachtige pastoriewoning in Labastide de Virac. De communicatie met Yves alsook ter plaatse met José en Elisabeth verliep zeer vlot. Het geschenk bij aankomst deed ons een enorm plezier. De woning is prachtig gelegen midden in het pittoreske dorpje met alle nodige voorzieningen (restaurants, kleine superette/bakker,..). Grotere winkels zijn op 10min. Van op het hogergelegen terras is er een prachtig zicht over de regio, ‘s avonds echt genieten daar. De kerk en bijhorende klokken storen allerminst. Binnenshuis is alles voorzien voor een fijn verblijf. Klein minpunt is dat de derde kamer afgelegen ligt op een lagere verdieping waardoor dit met kleine kinderen soms vervelend is. Het zwembad is ruim genoeg om verkoeling te zoeken, baantjes trekken zit er evenwel niet in. Samengevat een prachtige locatie om in de Ardèche te blijven.

Das alte Pfarrhaus ist wirklich außergewöhnlich, wunderschön restauriert und mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet. Es verfügt über alles, was man braucht. Das war unser erstes Ferienhaus mit einer ordentlichen Ausstattung an Weingläsern. Ein kleiner Geschirrspüler und sogar eine Waschmaschine sind vorhanden. Einzig einen Fernseher wird man vergeblich suchen, den haben wir auch nicht vermisst. Es ist wundervoll, abends auf der Veranda zu sitzen und bei einem Glas Wein in die weite Landschaft zu blicken. Der Pool ist klasse, schön groß und ganz privat. Das Örtchen ist ganz klein, aber bezaubernd. Alles da, was man braucht. Den Schlüssel erhält man von einem Ehepaar, welches im Nachbarort wohnt. Sie eilen auch zur Hilfe, wenn es nötig ist. Die beiden sind wirklich goldig. Der Hinweis mit der engen Einfahrt ist unbedingt zu beachten. Mit einem großen Auto wird es schwierig. Die Kommunikation mit Yves war nett und unkompliziert. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung für das Haus.

We had such a lovely time in this absolutely beautiful house! I'd say everything was even prettier than in the pictures. Yves and Mr and Mrs Martinez were very kind and helpful. For some nights it was very warm outside, but inside the old presbitary with its thick stone walls it was pleasantly cool. The village is small and silent but beautiful. We visited both the restaurants (both of them lovely), the castle on the hill and bought fresh croissants at the small grocery store every morning (remember to make a reservation). The house is old but very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen, gorgeous interior and two bathrooms. Our 4-year old very much appreciated the toy chest in his bedroom :) I especially enjoyed sipping a glass of wine under the wisterias on the terrace. The teenagers liked the wi-fi and the pool. The church bells didn't bother us at all. Overall, I highly recommend Yves house and can truly not come up with anything negative at all.
