Hansen Bay · 整套乡村小屋 · 2室1床1.5卫 · 可住2人 · Amazing Views- Stunning Pool - Eco-Luxury Getaway
Dove Cottage is perched magically on a ridge with jaw dropping views. A luxury Eco Villa with views out and down and up and beyond to the white sand kissed emerald islands floating on the azure sea. A simple elegant home with impeccable design, an amazing pool and patio. Unmatched privacy from this East End location near the famous Lime Out floating taco bar and the great snorkeling beaches of St John's unspoiled remote peninsula. Perfect for couples or small families, NOT ideal for 4 adults. Remote, private and quiet, this stunning retreat is ideal for the couple who wants to be awed on their vacation, honeymoon. Thoughtfully and tastefully designed to maximize the views and comfort while ensuring harmony with the environment. The view from the pool is arguably one of the best in the Virgin Islands. Around every corner is an incredible view and a welcoming daybed or chaise to curl up on with a book or a loved one. The over-sized crystal clear pool allows for uninhibited looks to shallow reefs and open sky at night. From the Modern kitchen, to the comfortable living room, the breezy bedrooms, with screened in sitting area to the huge travertine patio – this home truly creates the instant feel that you have arrived and will relax. Dove Cottage's Bedroom Set up is ideal for families or couples. The main bedroom is a queen bed with stunning views. There are 2 adjacent small bedrooms to this room. One has a double bed, the other has a twin. You must walk through the main bedroom to get to these rooms or to get to the bathroom from these rooms. For this reason, we don’t recommend this home to 4 adults(two couples). We are happy to rent to parties of 4 as long as they understand this layout. Our vacation getaway to Dove Cottage was perfection. The home/cottage is beautiful, the views all around the property are spectacular and the peacefulness and privacy are unmatched. The cottage was super clean and the kitchen was fully equipped, modern and gorgeous. Lots of outdoor living space to enjoy. We’d go back in a heartbeat! Jared was a very responsive and helpful host. Highly recommend Dove Cottage and St John , in general.
We booked 6 nights and planned to celebrate Christmas at Dove Cottage, however, we checked out after 3 nights. Despite this being the most breathtaking property we've ever stayed in, we had an issue with spiders, mostly at night. They were upstairs and downstairs. They were about the size of a quarter and appeared to be brown recluse. We communicated with Jared about our issue and he had his pest control people spray one morning. However, the issue got worse after this. My husband and I just couldn't relax or sleep, especially at night. After a spider ran across my husband's chest (he was in the living room chair) while watching White Christmas, we stopped and decided we couldn't stay any longer. We believe the issue springs from the pocket doors, which are not properly sealed and make it impossible to keep pests out, despite regular pest control maintenance. We asked for a partial refund for our remaining nights and were given $1,000. We were out $1,500 when all was said and done.
Amazing views, very private. Good communication between Jared and us, super laid back and easy to communicate with. Would not recommend if you want AC. Other than that a very awesome place to stay and experience the natural island life!
Clean, bright, not many bugs (being on a ridge with a good breeze helps and they actively manage pests. Screens on the doors and windows) amazing views to the north and south, totally private (neighbors are far away and below you), tons of flowers, hummingbirds, iguanas, geckos, and the occasional goat and chicken passing through (but no crowing roosters). Well equipped with things like beach chairs, coolers, cleaning supplies, reverse osmosis water tap, and lots of other caring details that make this an exceptional place to stay. Only downside is the time it takes to drive to things, but the drive is beautiful and traffic-free. I only wish I booked my full stay there.
Exceeded all expectations! I’ve never written a review before but this place more than deserves the time it takes to do so. The views from any angle of the house are absolutely breathtaking. The open layout of the house, updated appliances, and private setting made us feel right at home, while actually being in paradise. The pool deck feels like a private resort for two. The outdoor shower has incredible views both day and night. If you are looking to spend some time with your significant other there truly is no better place. We have already begun to book our return trip.
Dove Cottage is located on the The East End of St John. The still-pristine island of St. John is the smallest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands and lies just 3 miles east of St. Thomas and a mile from the nearest of the British Virgin Islands. Nearly two-thirds of the island is National Park with untouched beaches, forests and nature trails for your enjoyment. Nature lovers will be amazed by St. John’s ecological diversity, from cactus-laden desert bluffs to lush tropical forests singing with tree frogs and painted by orchids.
The true treasure of St. John is its beaches, white with soft, sugary sand and edged by coconut palms, gentle waters, and pristine coral reefs. World-famous Trunk Bay is here, as are spectacular Hawksnest Bay and Cinnamon Bay. Part of the national park land is underwater and home to amazing coral reefs, plant life, tropical fish and turtles.
Beyond the spectacular natural beauty, St. John is a colorful and artistic community filled with unique shops, boutiques and vendors. The shelves are filled with local artwork and distinctive jewelry as well as exotic imports. All of the restaurants are locally owned, each serving up tantalizing flavors and atmosphere for even the most discerning palate. Local seafood such as mahi mahi, Caribbean lobster, conch, wahoo, yellowtail snapper and tuna are always fresh and available. Many visitors will be captivated by the fascinating history of St. John and the Caribbean. From the Taino, Arawak and Carib Indians, to the days of piracy, to the Danish sugar plantations, St. John has amazing stories of slavery and freedom, rebellion and discovery. Many remnants of those days have been preserved here. Upon your exploration you will find Danish sugar mill ruins, archeological digs, and petroglyphs from the ancient tribes that first inhabited St. John.
