The Castle was a great place to stay for our sales and marketing team with its close proximity to the Water's Edge Country Club. We enjoyed the beautiful fall lake views and comfortable accommodations. Highly recommended!
Fantastic venue for an extended family get away!
Omar is a wonderful host. The house is spacious, beautiful, and has many amenities to keep large families entertained indoor and outdoors. The views from the dining room are gorgeous. Direct access to the lake to enjoy some fishing, kayaking. Their lower level game room provided us with many hours of entertainment (pool, poker, foosball, ping pong,etc.) Kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Bedrooms are nicely distributed around the house. Besides what the house offers, we were able to find a hiking trail near by with wonderful views of the lake making our stay at SML one to remember forever. Large grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants are within 25-35 min drive; but there is a 5 min drive well equipped convenience store for any last minute need. Highly recommend this house.
This place was awesome and exactly as advertised. So clean, pretty, excellent amenities, and location is perfect. We even did a survey among our group and everyone was extremely pleased with the accommodations in particular. The host’s communications with us were also very prompt and helpful. We will visit again next May (and most likely a Fall trip this year as well). Thanks for everything. We wouldn’t change I thing.

I am a builder and developer based in Chapel Hill NC. Married for 25 years to my beautiful wife Paige. We have 2 amazing children. We built this home for ourselves and ultimately decided to share it with others. It is by far the most luxurious home on Smith Mountain Lake that you can find to stay in. We are active, engaged hosts and look forward to welcoming you and your group into our home.
