We had an amazing stay in Heron lodge. My whole family enjoyed every minute. The place was spotless, has beautiful views over the lake and everything we needed for our stay. We can’t wait to visit again!

We enjoyed our stay at Heron Lodge - the cabin was a great size for our group of 6 - large communal area and decking, and 3 specious bedrooms. The surroundings are beautiful, and the on-site walk around the lake is lovely and can be done in about 20 minutes. The hot tub and sauna were also great facilities.

excellent, peaceful location. beautiful views. easy commute to the countryside . ideal for dog walks. Sat nav takes to the wrong location. better signage is required, especially when arriving in the dark. loved the hot tub and sauna. However, feel sauna should have been included in the price. water pressure for 2 out of 3 showers, which were electric, was as expected poor compared to the one connected to mains. Overall, we all had a great , relaxing break and would definitely return. Loved the selection of board games. We never switched the TV on. kitchen is well equipped but a couple of sharp knives would be good for chopping veg and meat.
