We enjoyed the neighborhood, the house, the proximity to the local trail system. The house was exactly as described and pictured. This being said the end of our stay was not good. The cleaner (or at least we were told she was the cleaner) left us a note saying that we needed to pay an additional fee of 150 for our dog. We checked the listing again and there was no pet fee. She showed up on the morning of our check out and was quite rude. I showed her the listing, that we had started another reservation to confirm there’s no pet fee, and she proceeded to leave and have her husband come back. He was loud and threatening. They wanted us to leave cash. We proceeded to pack up, all the while they continued to threaten us with additional charges, continuing to be extremely aggressive. I had to be aggressive back and threaten to call the cops. It’s not like ANY stay I’ve ever had at any accommodation EVER. The house was great as I’ve said. We won’t ever return.

We had a great weekend stay at the cabin. It was cozy but perfect from my family of 3. The location was close to everything. We were even walking distance to a couple restaurants..definitely a great stay!

Host was very accommodating. House was very clean with extremely comfortable beds. All appliances looked new and only about 2 minutes from the HM trails. You can walk to several restaurants. Definitely would stay here again.

Great cabin in a beautiful town. Phillip took our reservation last minute and handled everything smoothly. Caretakers James and McKenzie are amazing people who made sure we were taken care of even though they were going through a personal loss. Just great people. The cabin was unique, clean and an easy walk to Bramwell. And if you need Walmart or other restaurants, Bluefield is about 15 min away. Area was ATV/UTV friendly and a quick ride to several Hatfield and McCoy trails. Like some said it is a little tight for a big trailer but manageable ( mine is 16'). You won't find a more unique place close to everything and yet peaceful as can be.

This was our second time staying at Philip’s cabin and we had just as wonderful of a stay this time around as well. The cabin is very rustic and well equipped. Beautiful, peaceful location.
