The apartment is well nestled in the village at Palisades, within a 5 minute walk to the lifts yet nice and peaceful. Bed was extremely comfortable!
3 things to that should be reconsidered : 1) While the unit has been upgraded, there is not centralized heating system but it uses old baseboard heating units. They are extremely noisy as they keep cracking as the metal expands and contracts throughout the night. 2) We arrived late in the evening, would be great to find a bottle of shampoo there to take a quick shower (that being sad there was soap). 3) The beddings are pretty old and the comforter for the living room had some big yellow stains on it. Finally the building is quite old and when you get in it smells like mold likely due to the carpet in the hallway (ppl walk on it with ski boots or shoes). Personally for this price point I would look for something else
It's amazing to be able to walk to the mountain, and the apartment was really nice and had modern updates. The parking/snow plow situation was the only difficult part because you have to move your car when it snows but you're not sure when the plow will come and when you can move your car back to the parking lot, but that's not the Airbnb's fault and the building manager and the Airbnb host were both very responsive when I called and asked what to do!
Exactly as pictured. Location is amazing in that you can walk right to the tram. In boots and carrying all your stuff takes maybe 5 minutes. So amazing. Kitchen had salt and pepper but definitely bring any staples you need for cooking.
The best way to get around in North Lake Tahoe is by car. Uber/Lyft are limited here but taxi-cabs are available. Daytime travelling options can also include Tahoe Area Regional Transit.
