The house was listed got a reasonable price, and seemed to be very nice in the pictures. My reservation was booked and confirmed. A day or two before my stay I messaged the host and he never responded. The first night I reached the country I had no place to stay and I was here with two young children. The next day I went to the location and found that someone was left in charge of the home and he reported that the host was out of the country. He stated that the owner said the amount listed was not enough and that we would have to pay an additional amount if I wished to stay there. I obviously refused. I contacted Airbnb and they contacted the host with no success. The reservation was cancelled, and the refund process began. I was asked to look for another place. Being in a foreign country with two young children without a place to stay was actually a rather stressful experience. I had to pay additional money to stay somewhere else and wasted a day and a half trying to resolve this.
