The photos do not do the place justice. The amenities were fantastic. We felt like we had some of the best views in the area! Despite close neighbors, it still felt very private and peaceful. Would stay again for sure!
Overall it was a beautiful place to stay. Kitchen was very nice and had everything that we needed. Towels were plush and hung nicely in the bathrooms. There were Christmas trees in all the living spaces, so it was very festive. There were multiple dead flies on the carpet, but they had plugins to try to attract them, so they were trying to eliminate that, but the warm weather likely made it difficult. We would stay there again! Beautiful surroundings, the scenery can’t be beat.
The house and location are great, perfect for bike week!
The lodge was beautiful in a great location above Lead. Spacious and comfortable for our group consisting of 3 families. Supplies were well stocked. Could have been a little cleaner. We had to wash one bed's sheets, as there was hair and sweat marks on them. Overall though, we were very pleased with the place, the host, and the price for our Black Hills family reunion.
Has not been deep cleaned in a long time. Layer of dust in corners of room, and under beds. Things we were not expecting to find but did: Old hair ties, dead flies and bugs, hair in the shower drain, hair on the sheets. We called Black Hills Adventure Lodging and told them about it and that we had run out of laundry pods because we had to wash all our own bedding. They said they’d bring some up the next day. I didn’t hear from them again. Called them the day after we checked out to find out what was going on and why they hadn’t communicated with us. Took a little explaining again and asked them to refund our cleaning fee. I did not hear from them but did get a notice from AirBNB that they were refunding my credit card the cleaning fee. Frustrated that they never communicated with me or tried to make it right. I had to ask them for the refund, if they really wanted to make it right they would have reached out and suggested some compensation. The house is not the problem.
