PLEASE READ: I have been a member of Airbnb since 2013 and stayed in multiple Airbnb’s since then. Never have I stayed in a worse Airbnb than this one. For starters, the pictures are misleading. This is a tiny Airbnb that is 5 floors with beds crammed into every possible space. Each floor has limited space to move around. One bedroom is a loft that you can only access through a ladder in another room. The check-in process was unconventional where you must contact the host’s assistant to let you in. Additionally, at check-in the host charges you a $3000 security deposit on your card and takes a picture of your ID. This payment does not go through the Airbnb system making it highly suspicious. There was a God-awful smell on the top floor likely due to poor plumbing. Finally, to make matters worse, after multiple of us had taken a shower, water started to leak from the ceiling of the Airbnb. The host said that this had happened before because a previous group had “clogged the drain with a towel” and then proceeded to insinuate that we were responsible for the ceiling leaking because we let the shower water overrun. We were not at fault. No one is dumb enough to clog the shower drain with a towel and simply watch water spill over. This shows you the complete lack of accountability from the host and suggests that this is a recurring issue that the host blames on his guests. My group and I were able to take videos of the leak and get a full refund from Airbnb. Overall, the worst experience I’ve had at an Airbnb. I urge you to find alternate accommodations.
