Hello, welcome to Barn in the Woods Lodge. My husband Dave and I are here to greet you when you come to stay at our unique little place in the woods. Come to just stay and unplug from your fast paced life and let nature suck you in. Or take to the area to discover some unique places to visit. Hosting has allowed us to meet some fun and interesting people. If there is anything you need we will try to help you get along with out it. Here is our story ~ A building is just a building until you understand its story and how people connect to it. This is the story of Barn In The Woods Lodge. My parents purchased the property back in the early 1970’s. We first camped on the land until the “Barn” as we call it was built. It became our get away for vacation or short weekend trips. As my siblings and I got older and had families of our own we would still drive up to stay at the “Barn”. It was a fun get away to explore the area around northeast Wisconsin. In 1988 my husband and I moved up here from Illinois for a job and to raise our growing family. We actually lived in the Barn for a year until our home was built on the neighboring property. It was always fun for family to come and visit because they would stay at the Barn. My parents would come to visit and stay here at least once a month over the years. They would call up and say, “We’re coming up to visit. Turn up the heat and turn on the hot water. See you in a few hours.” Both our parents have since passed and my husband and I have purchased the rest of the property along with the “Barn” from the family. Hence “Barn In The Woods Lodge” was born. The place has changed very little over the years except for a few updates and mementos of fun memories left behind.
