The house is in a very quiet spot with FANTASTIC views. It is very cozy and warm. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars for all is because it is advertised as having 3 bedrooms and a dedicated workspace. The third bedroom was not accessible as it was locked and there was no dedicated workspace. As we were a couple this was not a problem. We could use the second bedroom to keep some of our luggage and work on the kitchen table or counter. Note that the beds are quite soft, with lovely thick duvets. The kitchen is super well equipped. Nothing missing. We did not use the large TV as we just looked out the window! It is a lovely retreat. You can sit for hours on the comfortable sofa, looking at the views. We appreciated the bird book and binoculars! There was plenty of hot water for restaurative showers after ski touring. The house was very clean. It’s a home so there are a lot of photos, decorations, plants, etc giving it a personal touch. We had a very comfortable and happy stay.

Simple outstanding place to relax

One of the reasons we travel is to discover new places and challenge ourselves in new environments. Sadly, we faced a frustrating situation where we were unable to get the address from our host and sat in the cold and dark of an Arctic night for almost two hours while we (and AirBnB) tried to get a response. Once we made contact, instructions took us to a home and a frightening confrontation with a neighbor. All of this could have been easily avoided had instructions been forwarded to us prior to our arrival. That said, what an incredible location and beautiful home. Quite a contrast to our arrival, this home reflected love and warmth and care—even a tree decorated for Christmas! Yes, this is a home that someone normally occupies with neatly arranged—never intrusive—belongings. The Northern Lights shown nightly as we gazed out through picture windows warmed by a wood fire. If communication can be clearly established with the host, this home offers comfort and remarkable views.
