Fantastic, peaceful and private location. Spacious, airy, yet cosy cottage full of character. Lots of walks for all abilities straight from the doorstep. The attractions of the coast and natural beauty of the moors all within an easy drive. We loved it here so much that we upon returning home we immediately booked to return.

Beautiful property and situated in a very private area. We absolutely loved our stay here. We went with our young toddler and dog who were both settled very quickly and easily. We also got to see snow which made the place look even prettier. There was a small issue with the heating and hot water on one of the days but the hosts arranged for it to be rectified immediately. They were very responsive to the problem and so it wouldn’t stop us from returning in the future. Dishwasher, washing machine, clothes horse, tea towels, towels and iron were all included. There is also a smart TV in the lounge which was perfect for our toddler when he wanted to watch Hey Duggee! Thank you for a great stay. We will definitely be returning.

A fantastic stay. Perched on a hill with great views over the surrounding countryside, The Wheelhouse is a peaceful, picturesque and idyllic location for a relaxing stay. Excellent dog walks from the front door. Nearest village is Swainby which has a fantastic local called The Blacksmith’s Inn where we ate several times. Fantastic Sunday lunch and a huge variety of options incl veggie/vegan. All in all, a brilliant experience- thank you!
