From the moment we booked this property the host was friendly, responsive, and extremely helpful. Check-in was easy, and the property was just as described in the listing. The house and community were charming. We were able to enjoy local activities as well as easily travel to other attractions with a couple of hours (Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge, Pike’s Peak - and more). The host/owner provided great recommendations for restaurants, activities (specific hiking trails, etc.), and sites to see. We strongly recommend this property!

A true getaway! Scenic Colorado at its best, a chalet kitted out to ensure comfort and a great kitchen to fix those cozy meals that will complement your stay! Super clean too. We felt at home from the moment we walked in!

Steve’s place was very clean and had a spacious kitchen, looking out to the west windows. Was great to enjoy the sunset while cooking dinner. The beds were very comfy and the bathrooms and laundry were great, no complaints. We were a little freaked out by all the warnings from the host about bears, almost afraid to go outside, but we got over that. He was making the strong point to not leave food in your vehicle and to put any food scraps in ziplocks before putting in the trash. We just took our trash with us! The road to get to the cabin is a 5-mile long ride, mostly gravel, but it’s not bad. But it would be challenging in snow. The setting, especially in the evening was so beautiful. Great view of the mountains, and some great hikes very close by. We highly recommend Steve’s place.
