I had a lovely relaxing stay here. I am rating 5 stars because I think its excellent value, an amazing location and has everything you need! Also great that its pet friendly. There are a couple of points that I would like to mention for improvement, however these were only minor and I would still highly recommend staying here. The host was not responsive on check in day when we realised the instructions and code to check in were unclear. The check in code is written in the wrong place in the information you receive so its not obvious what it is. Luckily, we were able to call the emergency line and they gave us the code but things could have been a bit smoother. Secondly, the property was clean to a good standard but there was quite a lot of dust behind some of the furniture and beds. I know this is a dog friendly cottage so its never going to be spotless but this could be a problem for someone who has a dust allergy. Overall, a great stay, thank you so much!

Great cottage and location. Lovely little sun trap on the front patio. Lovely and quiet, maybe half a mile outside main Glenridding, with a local pub a few hunfread yards down the hill.

We certainly enjoyed our stay at Hovera. It was in a beautiful setting and we had a great view up the mountain watching people hike up to the top. The only complaint we had was it wasn’t clear from the description that there were 3 floors and the main bedroom is on the third floor. The main bathroom is on the second and there is a small bathroom on the main floor which was very helpful! The patio and screened in porch was delightful! The directions to Hovera were a bit lacking and we weren’t sure if we were at the right place until we found the name on our unit door. All in all, I would stay here again! We thoroughly enjoyed the countryside!

The photos really don't do this place justice. A wonderful house, beautifully decorated in a quiet, peaceful location and with stunning views. Beautifully decorated and equipped to a high spec. Unexpected third floor for the double bedroom with a little lounge area which was a real bonus. Lovely and warm, plenty of hot water and nice woodburner. Great location for walking up Helvellyn straight out of the front door! Would love to return.
