From its south facing, large balcony you can have morning coffee and watch the sun rise, and then later from the same large balcony, watch it set over distant Dartmoor. It was once the home of the Victorian super rich on a grand scale with 11 live in servants, this now a very large, lavish two story apartments in an ideal setting. With bay windows that showcase the sea view to perfection, the living area has the kind of décor that’ll make you want to stay forever. With its ornamental ceilings and chandeliers that glint, the fireplace offers a traditional touch and there’s seating for eight for those cosy evenings in. Both the living and dining rooms lead out onto your balcony, to what many believe offers the best views of Torbay, so there is no finer vantage point to while away an afternoon watching the boats out on the water while you unwind. Back inside, the dining area seats up to eight, so you’ll be able to dine in style and catch up with the rest of your group after a busy day of adventures. There is also a utility room with a pub-size table football. Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find four welcoming large en-suite bedrooms designed with true relaxation in mind. The master bedroom and bedroom two have king-size beds, and bedrooms three and four have twins, so they’re perfect for younger members of the group. Riviera Mansion is found within easy reach of Torre Abbey Sands, one of Torquay’s best-loved sandy beaches, as well as Torre Abbey House and Gardens, and the Princess Theatre. You’ll find the bustling harbour area just a short stroll away, and it’s lined with cafés and restaurants perfect for those lazy days watching the world go by. Spent a week here for a multi-generation family break for eight – ages 13 – 87. Everyone had a terrific time. This place has big spacious rooms on the ground floor that are for relaxing (the table football in the utility room a nice added distraction); a handy garage to park a car; and a big kitchen with all the pots, pans etc you’ll need. Upstairs are four lovely bedrooms with ensuite facilities – the master bedroom’s whirlpool bath was an added treat. There are also TVs galore (all with Netflix) if you need a TV fix. And of course, there is the view. Sadly, as the British ‘summer’ was in full swing for our stay we did not get to spend quite as much time sitting on the terrace ‘soaking up the sun’ as we would have liked but the combination views of the small bay and the harbour/marina are stunning – both during the day and at night when the bay is lit up with lights. It is a view that stands up to the best we've experienced around the globe. Would happily book again.
Can’t say enough great things about this excellent rental. It’s my second time visiting Torquay with family and this place was perfect for us - lots of room, comfortable beds, a big kitchen, and the VIEW! We didn’t want to leave.

Riviera Mansions has spectacular views and is a lovely apartment, the garage was really useful for stress free parking.
