Very lovely twosome running the place made it a delightful experience. It was tricky to find it as it’s so deep into the mountains that google maps were a little funny but in actuality, the accommodation itself is quite close to a town-like cluster, 2min drive to a lawson. The rooms were a little dated but clean and the individual bath outside was a gorgeous experience with fresh air wafting in from the open vents at the top of the bathhouse. I recommend this spot for anyone who wants to go for hikes and onsens around the area, and have a general explore around kagoshima prefecture. We recommend the sand baths, south of kagoshima and the sakamoto vinegar distillery :)

Very helpful host, very clean place. 2 different onsen at the hotel. A lot of amenities. Very near the national park. No downsides. We had a wonderful stay.
