Can you make a silk purse from a sow's ear? Many guests think so as this property was rate a guests favorite when we stayed. We cancelled our second night's booking because there was an odor at the property that caused respitory issues. Poor resolution of refund followed by both the host and air bnb. The house (its not a house), more a cabin is built against a neighbouring bank of land. Its almost underground and has little daylight. The odor we experienced arose from drains, or damp, or possibly a cat musk marking its territory. It was enough to cause respitory issues when we stayed. Reading the other reviews on the site i can see why other people thought as they did. If everything was perfect the hosts do make a genuine effort to welcome their guests and the cabin and garden when tidy make for a quirky stay. But when we stayed it was not perfect. The odor and a lot of junk about the pla e. Cancelling our second night lets you know how we felt.

Silvy and Roberto were so hospitable and welcoming - the house felt very peaceful and cozy right away. I loved the garden, tranquil and quiet. We didn't have a car and they kindly offered us a drive to the beach and the airport, which was so so helpful. I really appreciate their kindness! I have to add we were travelling with a 3 years old kid, and this might not be the best accessible space for them - difficult steps so be careful with small children! On a side note and general to Olbia, I'd definitely recommend having your own car, if you don't want to rely on the bus (arrive every 20 mins and stop after 7 pm). The location itself is close to many beaches that are wonderful, and you can easily get to the city center too. Bonus point for the cute little cat wandering that made my day!

Geweldige tijd gehad in Olbia (Pittulongu). We hebben een auto gehuurd (tip!) en dit huis was een kwartier rijden vanaf het vliegveld maar in een prachtige, rustige omgeving. Silvy was ook een top host, reageerde snel en zeer vriendelijk. Het huisje was nog beter dan hij leek. Aanrader!

Warm welcome, easy communication, cosy house close to the beach and the airport of Olbia. Simple but great price for value!
