Hello and welcome, I'm Donna, your host and owner of Little Cottage in Oamaru. I've been a home stay host for many years and have housed many different nationalities from all over the world. I love being a host and really enjoy meeting new people from different countries and cultures but equally love meeting and hosting guests from our own beautiful country. I'm a considerate host with a desire to make your stay as easy, comfortable, enjoyable and memorable as possible. In most cases if you book my cottage I won't be around as I am often out of town or away for weeks on end however if I am planning to be home or around in town I will arrange this with you prior to your booking being confirmed so that we can work in with whatever circumstances you prefer. If I am home I do come and go a lot and are equally happy to mingle with you if the opportunity arises and is appropriate or to just sit afar and give you the space, peace and privacy you may prefer. My home is my haven. It is a cute, quiet, cosy, homely and comfy space to retreat to, a place where you can sit back and relax with a good book and enjoy the peace and quiet while taking in the views of the ocean or to unwind and restore with a coffee or glass of wine by the fire, in the bath or out in the garden. My Cottage is located very close to the town centre with just a 2-3km walk to all the main attractions and restaurants etc. The Botanical Gardens, Penquin Colony, Whitestone Cheese Factory, Victorian Precinct, Steampunk, Farmers Market, Ocean front, Cafes and other sightseeing places of interest are literally on your doorstep and I am just 10 minutes drive to the beautiful Kakanui surf beach or 15-30 mins drive to other wonderful places to visit such as Riverstone Castle, Restaurant and Gardens and Moeraki boulders and village where the famous Fleur has her wonderful world reknown seafood restaurant. I am a healthy, happy, easy-going person who loves nature, walks, gardening, yoga and the ocean and are a qualified Beauty and Body Therapist and Yoga Teacher. I also have a beautiful Persian Ragdoll cat named Bubbles who would be delighted to be your co-host and will make you feel super comfortable.
