To stay at the Neverbeen to Lagoon Town was just one of our best choices during our stay in Sri Lanka :) Javid and his family are really friendly and open to guests. When you stay there, you will feel how passionate they are about hosting people and showing the beautiful places and best food spots in town. Besides the delicious breakfast we got a really nice tour to the navalady beach and the kattankudy district including a visit to the mosque and secret food places for local food 🥰 We would definitely recommend staying at this Neverbeen place!

Javid is an extraordinary host. We chose the room because of its location (lagoon, close to fort, grocery stores). But we totally loved the stay for a warm hearted host and his kind family. His mother is cooking the most delicious meals and Javid does everything to organise and connect everything and everybody. There are no wishes left. Thank you so much for opening your door and your heart.

Our stay at Neverbeen to Lagoontown was fantastic! Easy to find, Clear instructions, Felt right at home. Check-in was extremely easy, easy to get inside, well-concepted professional and passionate host. Place was extremely clean, free of clutter, squeaky-clean bathroom, pristine kitchen and enjoyed spotless furniture & linens. Everything listed was extremely accurate, had listed amenities & services, and more than photos. Communication was extremely well - Friendly, offered Local recommendations, Always responsive even late nights, Helpful instructions and Proactive to offer before we ask. Enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, Peaceful, private and lots to do around. Neverdined Restaurant is so impressive - offering local foods at this hotel. Never had such a Sri Lankan taste before. Everything in walkable distance. Surprisingly, a worth stay though the price we felt earlier was high, but later realised how great this deal of the experience we had. Where to begin? Being a young Sri Lankan digital nomad and living in Trincomalee, I have been looking for places close by, where I can still do some work online while I’m on a day or week trip. My visit to Batticaloa was very short and official with a bunch of my other fellow digital nomads. Glad that I found Neverbeen to Lagoon Town on Airbnb - price was incredibly affordable. Later learned, Neverbeen Team, a bunch of Sri Lankan passionate guys manages plenty of places similar to Lagoon Town all around the country. The villa, Neverbeen to Lagoon Town is located in the coastal town of Batticaloa - Dutch, British and Portuguese colonial legacy in the city boasts the highest potential to evolve as a hotspot for digital nomads like us. This place offers 4 unique rooms at a two story building located with a lagoon front view. It seems they initially offered two separate apartments, but now they are more open to rooms as well. I booked two double rooms, one for two of us and another for my fellow digital nomads. We booked the another room separately on Airbnb which can be found as “Neverbeen to Lagoon Town | Double Room 2”. The villa’s interior is designed to reflect the Lagoon fisherman's life in Batticaloa, surrounded by a green little garden - releases a good amount of energy. Space is generously sized rooms, and stunning suites overlooking Batticaloa Lagoon. Lagoon Town is particularly well suited for couples’ beach breaks, honeymoons, romantic getaways and ideal for a big group to book the entire villa as well. Reliable internet, we worked at ease and enjoyed the property’s amenities. Other facilities to look forward to are the home cooked meals that serve the finest local ingredients and dishes that are available on request. Prawn curry was my favorite. It’s really cheap! Lovely people with great cooking skills. With the hotel’s ideal location, we visited all the places by walking or cycling tours with the host Kajan that Neverbeen offered as day excursions. They offer – Batticaloa city tour, learning to fish with local stilt fishermen, shopping in local Batticaloa boutiques, cycling, hiking, diving, local food market visits & cookery classes with the local chef, and creative & cultural tours, with adhere to the highest Covid-19 safety protocols. Best of luck guys, we will definitely come back as family or with friends and to explore your other Neverbeen places on Airbnb. Much thanks!
