Our family group of 6 adults was absolutely delighted with the first stay at Villa Marazul 13-18 February. The property is spectacular as shown in the posting, impeccably clean, with all the amenities fitting a high end property, all in a great and secure location within a few minute walk to a nearly private beach! Everyone in our group was delighted with their bed rooms, private baths, and incredibly comfortable beds. We all slept very well! While there is a large hotel just to the south, this did not impact us since the vegetation provided a beautiful secluded feel to the property and there was not much activity on the beach either. The real unexpected bonus was villa staff, Paco and Marta, who were exceptionally helpful making our stay a sheer delight with their attention to detail and anticipation of our needs, as well as preparing wonderful breakfasts for us every day. This was our first experience with live-in staff at a rental property, and they quickly put any concerns to rest by somehow always being there when we needed something, but essentially disappearing at other times. I’m convinced that Paco can read minds as he always seemed to know what we would need next! Our group was focused on scuba diving this trip and we found the location very convenient for getting the ferry (~30min away) to Isla Mujeres or driving into Cancun for dive shops there. We could manage 2 tank dives in the morning or afternoon and still have time to enjoy the Villa with its temperature controlled pool or the nearby beach. We had dinner out one night but since our group enjoys cooking we took advantage of the fully equipped kitchen to prepare a range of meals with supplies and groceries kindly purchased for us by Paco from our list. Paco also went to the local fish market early one day to get superb just-caught red snapper. The property owner was very gracious in answering email questions , and providing lots of helpful additional information about the area to include tips about restaurants and local attractions. This was especially helpful since Villa Marazul was new to the rental agent Maya Luxe who were still learning details. Everyone in our group would recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxed modern luxurious inviting tropical getaway. We’ll be back!!
