Kara was so warm and welcoming to us. Rarely have I had the Airbnb owner great me at the door. Kara gave us a thorough tour and we were all joking around. Although the suite is part of the house, it is completely walled off from the main house. It is filled with many personal touches like a selection of books and games, beautiful art (some from local artists), and a uniquely designed kitchen area. I find a lot of Airbnbs nowadays are sterile and furnished with cheap and generic stuff, so all the details in this suite were delightful to see. If you like nature (and why else are you going to the Poconos?) then look out the back door to see the beautiful garden. The listing said that the suite is recently renovated and you can certainly tell this in the kitchen and bathroom areas. Everything looks clean and new, but it’s also very homey. With the larger kitchen/dining area, I feel like we could enjoy several days here and we were sad that we’d only booked for one night!

Kara and Ben could not have been more helpful or responsive. They had great recommendations for restaurants and really helped out giving ski gear and rental advice. The location was ideal as well; right in the middle between Blue Mountain and the amenities of Jim Thorpe. We had a great weekend! The space is charming, clean, and well appointed. A perfect size for two people on a getaway!

We loved Gypsies suite so much and Kara was such a wonderful host! We appreciated the in-person walkthrough because it helped us get settled right away. Kara and Ben's place was so cute and was exactly as described. It was such a treat and loved it for our little getaway.

Kara and Ben were the definition of hospitality - they welcomed us into their home and had everything laid out and prepared for our stay. We appreciated the walkthrough that Kara gave of the suite, as well as the local recommendations (Lorenzo's had great Italian food!). If you're skiing at Blue Mountain, the Airbnb is just a short drive over. We also loved all the small details - the welcome sign, the abundance of snacks, the games, etc. Kara even gave us a cutting of one of the beautiful plants in the suite to take home! We definitely had a relaxing, cozy stay and would absolutely come back the next time we're in the Poconos!
