The Villa is absolutely stunning!! I was lucky to have 4 couples from Maui Hawaii to join me for my birthday and we all had the time of our lives!!! I would highly recommend renting Vespas if you are comfortable with that, it made going to Cortona fun and easy, you can park anywhere!! The restaurants and shopping in Cortona were fantastic!! Having a train station close was a big help too! The chief ( Gabriel) that was sent to the house was also amazing!!! I would have to say this is the perfect Under the Tuscan Sun vacation villa!!! I would love to stay again!!! Thank you so much!!!

Wir könnten hier mit mehreren Familien eine tolle Zeit verbringen. Einfach toll, dass keine unnötige dekor herum steht, die Sauberkeit war außerordentlich! Wir sind alle begeistert.

This villa was absolutely spectacular, very historical building and so well maintained. It was a very private piece of property with an excellent view looking up to Cortona and the beautiful Duomo. We heard lovely church bells during the day and saw and heard many birds. The pool is well shaded for heated days and has many lounging chairs. All of us from 10 years old to 75 years old enjoyed this area immensely. Our son-in-law is an executive chef in N.J., so he grilled us some fabulous meals at night( when we weren’t enjoying the many great restaurants in Cortona). This area is wonderful, as long as you have a car to enjoy the small towns nearby such as Montepulciano, Siena, Assisi, and Deruta and of course beautiful Cortona. We did find an incredible coffee shop in Camucia, which we walked to many times, called Vanelli’s. Don’t miss it if you’re there. So glad to be back in Cortona after 15 years and to have experienced Villa Fontocchio.

Villa Fontocchio was perfect for our large group of 10 adults and 3 children. Plenty of living space and beds for everyone. The villa has loads of history and the location was great. You can easily drive up to Cortona but having small children it was good to have plenty of flat areas for them to play. Also good that the swimming pool area had a fence. Two dishwashers and two fridges plus a wine fridge was very convenient. The villa is just like it appears in the photos, we used the main house and the adjoining annex. The only negative about staying there was the beds were exceptionally hard. Also be prepared to pay an additional 200 euro cash for cleaning plus air con fees (ours was 50 euro for 7 nights). We loved our time in Cortona - such an amazing part of Tuscany.
