Had a garden room that was peaceful enough to have my window open at night. Very large room and nice bathroom with bath that suited my needs very well.

Thoroughly impressed with our weekend visit to The Retreat New Forest. Located perfectly to explore the surrounding areas, there are so many things to do and see within a 10 minute drive in all directions from the retreat. It is set in a peaceful area. We had room 5 which was a road facing room, the traffic was not much of a bother, although have to consider the time of year. The attached restaurant on site has a wonderful varied menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner with plenty of locally sourced and home grown ingredients. Though we never had the time to book any of the on site treatments or other sessions, there is plenty of relaxing options to choose from. The interior of the hotel is tastefully presented with beautiful but simple decor. The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable queen bed and ample space to hang clothing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already booked our next visit.

Our stay at the retreat was great! Really easy check in, great location to reach all areas of the new forest, especially close to Mundeford which is perfect for a day out. The cherry on top was being able to bring our pups with us to enjoy a little staycation. Wouldn’t change a thing and definitely will stay again!

I loved my stay at The Retreat. Check in was seamless. They provided gorgeous natural toiletries. The grounds were lovely and the on-site cafe served delicious food.

The Retreat is such a great concept. You feel like you’re in a hotel but it’s much more chilled and quiet. The facilities onsite are really good - great coffee and breakfast and a beautiful restaurant. Just make sure you get a room garden-side as the road is noisy.
