We stayed with Carlos for a whole week and it was one of the best stays we've had. The place is tranquil, beautiful, clean and very thoughtfully done. The surroundings are great in that you have walking and cycling paths literally outside of the gates, and nearby towns are a short walk/ride away. Carlos was such a thoughtful host, providing a lot of advice and recommendations for places to visit and things to check out, including for our day trips to Aveiro and Porto. Definitely a great stay!

El lugar es maravilloso, hemos estado muy cómodos disfrutando de la naturaleza y el silencio. El alojamiento está totalmente equipado, no necesitas nada. Mención aparte merece Carlos, un anfitrión estupendo: siempre atento de nosotros, muy detallista y un fantástico creador de mermeladas y licores :) Nuestro perro también fue muy feliz en nuestra estancia. Gracias por todo, Carlos! Volveremos pronto!!

Carlos and Catarina are very friendly hosts and the two dogs are kind too. The stone house has everything that you need and the property is huge. The location is good to find and there are nice places to explore nearby. We loved our time in the stone house and highly recommend it!

Carlos' "stone house" was my perfect retreat to relax and regain new strength The 'Duplex-Appartment" (upper floor kitchen and living room, down floor sleeping and big bad) stays on a three hectares big plot bit outside of the village "Santa Cruz". You best access it via N16(!). I really enjoyed my time as I was looking for a place to relax away from all the busy places. Although the place is in den middle of the forrest, you have lots of space to chill out at the sun or just sitting in front of the appratment enjoying a nice glass of wine, always surrounded by the two old so sweed dogs, and sometimes, the black cat comes also to see if all is going well. This "stonehouse appartment" is in perfect condition, high quality funitured making me feel home from the 1st minute. And should you feel cold, there is heating available. There are even international TV-Channels available, so you can enjoy an evening haning in the comfortable coutch watching a moovie. The WLAN works perfectly in/around the house and the fully equiped kitchen allows you to cooke a nice meal. In case you miss someting in the citchen, you can always ask Carlos - he even offered me to use his big kitchen as I needed to put my fish in the oven, witch I bought in Oliveira de Frades, a 15' ride away. Carlos also rents two more big rooms, so this place is perfect even for a big group of up to 3 couples or a family even with dogs (the plant is fully fenced). This for sure is one of my best stay on my Iberia-roundtrip and would be one of the place I'd suggest to my best friend to stay at. I'm lookinfg forward to come back.
