Nos quedamos una semana en la casa y nos sentimos muy a gusto! La casa se encuentra en un fraccionamiento muy tranquilo, bonito y por supuesto seguro. En el dia se escuchan pajaritos cantar y en la noche abriendo las ventanas (todas tienen mosquiteros) entra una brisa muy bonita. También hay ventiladores de techo y aire acondicionado, asì que el calor no es un problema. La casa es muy bien amueblada, luminosa y tiene todas las comodidades y todos los utensilios necesarios para cocinar. En el refri nos dejaron cerveza y refresco, un bonito detalle aunque tal vez hubieramos preferido encontrar un par de ingredientes básicos para cocinar como sal y aceite. Sin embargo, hay un Oxxo y una tiendita justo saliendo del fraccionamiento donde se pueden encontrar muchas cosas sin tener que ir al super. El check-in y check-out fueron los más faciles y rápidos que he tenido (no hay que darlo por sentado) y Montserrat destaca mucho por sus prontas respuestas y disponibilidad. Siempre fue muy amable y atenta con nosotros, aunque no hayamos tenido el placer de conocerla en persona. Juan también nos apoyó mucho llevandonos una sombrilla para la playa. 10/10! El internet de la casa es muy bueno, lo cual para nosotros fue fundamental ya que estuvimos trabajando desde casa durante parte de la estadía. Recomiendo mucho hospedarse aquí! Eso sì, consideren que es mucho mejor contar con un vehículo ya que la casa se encuentra lejos del centro de Playa del Carmen, la playa más cercana está a unos 20 minutos caminando y no siempre hay transporte público. Nosotros no contabamos con vehículo y aun sì nos supimos mover, pero obviamente complica un poco las cosas asì que tomenlo en cuenta :)

I only stayed one night out of a 7 nights reservations. There was a strong pungent smell when I walked in and I wrote it off as the previous guests cooking. Until I open the microwave oven where there was a leftover plate of food deteriorated so bad that it was crawling with maggots and the smell was overwhelming that I had to vomit. I told the host they need to have a deep clean because that microwave oven had worms inside the housing. That is when I asked to check out from Airbnb. The host allow me to stay there long enough to find another place before I left. I was still charged for the night! This is forgivable as the cleaner simply forgets to check. These are simply human errors. Here is what I like about the place: - it is in a gated community. - There are a lot of natural lights coming into the house. - Great value for what you get - Strong internet signals. - Netflicks works well. - They welcome you with a can of coke and a beer in the fridge - nice touch - It feels like a home when you stay there. - Lots of live plants that make this place very soulful. This is what I struggle with: - I don't like the integrity of one of the hosts Montse. I requested an early check-in and she said the place was available. I asked for 12 noon as the other Airbnb allowed me to check out anytime I wanted. After I told my host that I can check out at 11 am because this place was avalable at 12 noon since I gave the notice the night before till the next day, I did not hear from her. I called and whatapps message with zero respond. I finally had to get Airbnb to help me get the code. So, the Airbnb told me to wait for another 1/2 hour, if they do not respond, they will cancel the reservation. The other host Juan did send me the code at 12:27 pm. I let Montse knows that she is stressing me out by your noncommunications. This is Montse respond that I deem inappropriate: Check-in is at 3 pm. we gave you access earlier and no extra cost...the code was sent to you at 11:30 am before you arrival. If you need anything else, let me know. Enjoy your stay and be happy in the Caribbean. First, i got the code at 12:27 by Juan. Her inability to understand her integrity and excuse herself for me is a struggle if you are running a business. - The pictures is exactly what it looks like - except it is taken 8 or 10 years before. - You need to have your own transportation because you are at the furthese edge of the town. - The water pressure is extremely weak. (Shower) - DONT LOCK THE SECOND LOCK ON TOP. The ket either do not work or I was not given the proper key. Thank God I know how to pick it open. - Deal with Quan only if you can. Lastly, I alway said: If you don't know people, you don't know business. I was tempted not to leave a review but the attitude and lack of integrity for a traveller crossed an edge for me!
