Taktsang Bungalow is a gated property in a quaint village of Ramthangka amidst paddy fields and apple orchard and traditional Bhutanese houses of compacted mud and timber. It is set up as a homely apartment so that you will feel right at home. It’s near both the Tiger’s Nest (a few mins walk to the base) and the main urban center of Paro (20 mins drive). We also prepare itinerary for guest upon request Taktsang Bungalow is a local stone masonry building styled in the traditional Bhutanese architectural way. There are two bedrooms with a queen bed in one and two single beds in the other. There is a kitchen (with utensils and all other cooking necessities including sugar, milk, salt, oil, rice, etc) and bathroom with shower and hot water. You will have to buy your own vegetables. You can easily buy 100% organic farm-fresh vegetables, milk and other dairy products, oil and fruits from the nearby farms at amazingly low prices. It is one of two apartments in the house. There is also a huge lawn where you can bask in the sun for your daily dose of vitamin D. :) and get a view of Tiger's nest. There is a modern resort and spa just a 5minute walk away and all essentials can be bought easily in the shops nearby. A local farmhouse also provides hotstone baths which are greatly therapeutic. You can try authentic local meals in the farmhouses or have it delivered home. You can observe or actively participate in the daily lives in a Bhutanese farm and get a truly authentic feel of Bhutan.
