The room was spacious, private, elegant and very clean, with a great view of mountains and the Abra river. Nestled away from the busy streets of Bangued, Escala Homestay is a beautiful Mediterranean-inspired 3 storey home with a rooftop lounge area, gardens and backyard with fruit trees. Staying here gave us a sense of just how vast and expansive Abra is. Amarte is a fantastic host. We had enjoyable trips and delicious meals with him and he helped us get in touch with the right people for our research. We hope more people will learn about Escala Homestay because it is truly an excellent place to stay at in Abra.

Amarte’s place has a pretty good location. It’s convenient to see through the sites in Bangued. But what made the trip more amazing to us is his genuine hospitality and warmth. Our host went out of his way to show us around some hidden gems of Bangued and to help us when we had car troubles. That’s top notch hospitality! Will definitely recommend his place to any wine visiting Abra!

Amarte's place is absolutely amazing and don't look elsewhere. Watching the sunset from their terraza with a glass of wine. Pure heaven. It is a perfect place to slowdown, and relax. The interior is as exactly as advertised, very modern. The house is very private up the hill. Kuya Amarte and her sister were outstanding hosts! We really appreciated their warm hospitality and generosity. They were very flexible in our check in time. They also managed to serve us local food like the wild mushrooms, the Queen mango, and the pure honey, etc.. Overall, they have provided one would not have expected. Thank you for letting us feel at home Kuya. See you again! :)

Amazing getaway for a few nights in La Paz. This house has the perfect marriage of location and views. It is situated on a hill overlooking a vast and open valley that gave it a bit of African safari vibes as to how the greens and browns blended. The interior design was no exception to the beauty of the exterior. Every part of the place had been curated with such detail that it left us in awe. Kuya Amarte and his sister are some of the most hospitable and kind people who had ever hosted us a place. They respected our privacy as much as they valued our presence. Overall a great host. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a nice, clean, and beautiful place to stay in La Paz, Abra. 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
