The apartment is located a few steps away from the Temple of Apollo, one of the most important monuments in Ortigia, the first one to have been erected in Syracuse. Datable to the beginning of the 6th century BC, it is the oldest Doric temple in Sicily, and it is possible to admire its remains directly from the apartment terrace located on the second floor.
In two minutes on foot you can easily reach the daily market (every day except Sunday), a typical market full of local products and street food, where you can shop and eat local delicacies. The stalls of fresh fruit, vegetables and seasonal vegetables are the masters in terms of colors. The stalls of fish and crustaceans represent a typically Sicilian uniqueness and it is possible to find many of the Mediterranean fish varieties. Don't miss the Sicilian cheese and cured meats shops, true delicacies of the Sicilian tradition.

Near the apartment, it is possible to find "Talete" electric minibus stop (one run every 30 minutes, from 8:00 to 20:00, one-way price of 1 euro) which allows you to reach some of the main points of interest in the city:
- The Sanctuary of the Madonnina delle Lacrime;
- The Paolo Orsi museum;
- The Archaeological Park of Neapolis
- The Fonte Aretusa;
- The Castle of Maniace;
- The bus and train station.
The main towns of Sicily can be reached by Interbus coaches from the central station (via Rubino), from where the shuttles to Catania-Fontanarossa airport also depart (approximately 1 hour journey).
- FROM CATANIA AIRPORT: it is possible to the apartment by taking the ALIBUS bus service that connects Catania airport to Catania Central Station, where you can take the regional train to Syracuse station, less than 20 minutes on foot from the property.
Alternatively, from the airport it is possible to reach the apartment by taking Interbus bus, up to Syracuse Station.
- FROM SYRACUSE STATION: it is possible to reach the apartment on foot in less than 20 minutes or by taking the minibus.
- IF YOU ARE TRAVELING BY CAR: The nearest parking lot is 400m away from the apartment and it’s called “Talete”. It’s open 24/7 at convenient fares.
