We loved this place. The Airbnb is a private apartment accessed from the back of the owner’s house. It’s walkable to downtown Ipswich and very easy to come and go. Kathleen was very responsive and we were charmed by the thoughtfulness of the apartment’s amenities - snacks, shampoo, q-tips, Netflix, etc. We felt right at home and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

One of best places we have ever stayed. The photos are accurate, and Kathleen is very responsive and clear. Bonus points for stocking the house with a wide array of food (cereal, bread, eggs, tea/coffee, butter, chocolates and much more) and household items that you wouldn’t think to pack or just forgot (thank you umbrellas and antacids). This, plus the quality wooden furniture, whimsical lamps, cozy decor, and wide array of reading material (I am now familiar with the history of Ipswich’s handmade lace industry) made us feel like we were staying in someone’s immaculately clean and well loved home.

Kathleen is a great communicator. The place was immaculate; great bedding and fabulous, soft bath sheets. The pantry, frig and freezer were well stocked with food a traveler needs! It is an antique house and so, built cclose to the street, so until about 10pm there is constant car/truck noise. Unavoidable. Great location though.

Kathy was the best host I've had at an airbnb. I wish that all hosts were as helpful and caring about their guests. When I initially inquired to book my stay, Kathy was informative and answered any questions I had. She even had book recommendations for my interests. I ended up extending our stay with her an additional night, and I wish we'd stayed longer. The house is cute and within walking distance of the commuter rail. The neighborhood is so cute and filled with historic homes. I can't recommend Kathy as a host highly enough.
