Nice place to stay, close to town, and in great shape. The beds are comfortable and the environment was safe even for our young kids.

We had an amazing stay at Mike’s. The space was clean and cozy. Communication was seamless, and the location was perfect. I highly recommend staying here for a fantastic experience!

Excellent place, lovely location, minutes from ski parking. Pretty birds outside windows. Main area for improvement: snowed a lot and driveway not plowed, path to door not shoveled. But I would return and recommend it.

We stayed at Mike’s for our annual family of four ski trip with two kids (9 &11). This spot was truly perfect for us. You can’t beat the location: it’s a beautiful home in the mountain, & the views from the porch & living room picture window are spectacular. As skiers, the proximity from the mountain was excellent- 5 min drive to public parking. It’s also less than 10 minutes from grocery, downtown & restaurants. I highly recommend trying out Saffron if you enjoy Indian fare! The house was easy to find, plenty of parking for our car, the house was clean & warm when we arrived. Mike was super responsive with questions. The bedrooms were very accommodating with a ton of closet space as well as dressers in each room. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a good size for us. As a family who cooks on kitchen had everything we needed to prep meals. We also loved the “locker” area with plenty of hooks & space to store gear. Bonus laundry room to wash our clothes after skiing.

Mike's place was a fantastic base camp for a trip to Steamboat. The neighborhood itself is in the foothills of the mountains, and offers tremendous views of the town below and the mountain vistas beyond. Highly recommend sunrise/sunset walks for the views alone. The Airbnb itself was also extremely comfortable. Though I'm not usually a fan of carpet, I came to appreciate its warmth after trooping indoors from the cold. The beds were excellent, though I'd be remiss not to mention the terrific recliner sofa as well. Kitchen had everything we needed, and we were very grateful to be able to do laundry before leaving town. (We were renting gear, but if you'd brought skis, I imagine you could easily leave them drying in the laundry room, which is not carpeted and has plenty of room). The location is no more than 10 minutes from downtown and the mountain, and the Strawberry Hot Springs shuttle happily picked us up from the Airbnb's driveway itself. All in all, a great experience.
