This was my second time staying at “The Bunkhouse” at Matfield Station. It’s the perfect spot for a personal retreat filled with hiking, reading, writing, and resting. Bill & Julia were happy for me to bring my dog along, who really enjoyed exploring the trails. I noticed a lack of hot water (outside temps were in the single digits), let them know, and they were there within the hour to get it fixed! Make sure to bring food when you come! There isn’t much in the area. I enjoy staying here so much and will definitely be back.

Great hosts! Great cozy place! Have stayed here several times and has always been great. Has everything you need. Beautiful view. Look forward to next time.

We have stayed here before. A nice place in the country. The building is well built and comfortable. It rained much of the time we were there but we still enjoyed our getaway. The trails are more developed then when were here last. Would have liked to walk more of them but the rain wasn't conducive too that. Although our dog didn't mind the rain. He enjoyed the trails we were able to walk immensely.
