We enjoyed our stay on Achill Island. The house is walkable to town where there is a little grocery store and a few restaurants. The Amethyst Inn is a great spot for dinner and drinks. We enjoyed walking along the beach that is a short walk across the street. If you like sheep, this is the place for you since they are all over the island grazing and so much fun to watch. The house is comfortable but a little dated with the furniture and linens. The beds were not that comfortable and the lighting in the bathrooms with little mirrors over the sinks made it hard to get ready for the day. I had to use a mirror that is sitting on the floor in the one bedrooms. The views from the house are amazing.

It was a great location - right on the lake and not too far to get to the ocean or the town of Keel. It was quiet and peaceful.

The location was perfect. Over looking the lake , only 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants, and keel beach , Looking forward to visiting its again next year,

We loved our little break in Achill, the house was as described and perfect for our needs, the stove was a lovely feature as was the air fryer. Walking distance to beach, restaurant/pub and shop. Only slight drawback was restaurant/pub in walking distance was only open at weekend, there were others a short drive away, so it was fine.
