I enjoyed my stay at the retreat. They supplied dog bed and biscuit treat for my dog. I ate in the restaurant, friendly staff, would recommend the fish and the French rose. Good size grounds to walk my dog in the morning, before setting off to the coast- 9 mins away in the car, and in the evenings pre bedtime.

A disappointing stay. We checked in easy enough although no one was there to greet or welcome. This also meant we didn’t know where we going/what we were able to explore. The studio below was blasting music which we could hear and feel on the floor of our room. There was a sort of mouldy smell in the room and bathroom and the tap, bath and shower water all ran a yellow colour which wasn’t okay. Also there were stains on the wall below the tv. Bed was comfortable but the headboard was ripped and had exposed foam showing. There was no fridge, milk or normal tea bags in the room for us to make a tea or coffee. 4pm check in, 10am check out, I feel that is very late and then very early especially as they were unable to be flexible with this. Also bad signal in the hotel and because it was self check in would mean an issue if you had no signal.

Great stay and will come again. Shame there was an issue with the hot water for a day, but other than that enjoyed the stay. A great base for trips into the New Forest and the coast.
