My girlfriend and I had a great two week stay at Ola. Celia and Alex were both very kind and helpful. Aside from giving recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to eat at, they helped me to get a good deal on a motorbike rental, and they even gave us a ride to the Kaohsiung airport on our last morning! (They had to go to the airport that day too, so I don't expect them to do this for everyone.) The guesthouse is in a quiet neighborhood about halfway between the towns of Hengchun and Kenting, so it is easy to get to everywhere. There is a 7-11, brunch cafe, and a tea shop nearby too. The room is basic, but clean, and we had no issues with it, but there are two points I think other guests might want to know about before booking. First, there was no wifi signal in the room, and I could only connect in the lobby. This was not an issue for us, since we had purchased SIM cards with unlimited data, but others may not have the same situation. Second, there is no door between the bedroom and bathroom, only a curtain. This means you and whoever you share the room with will hear (and smell) everything that goes on in there. You should book the room only if you are alone, or if you are *extremely* comfortable with your partner.
