Great place right in the heart of Heraklion. You are literally a couple blocks from the Venetian port and within easy walking distance from everything else. The apartment is large with two nice sized bedrooms and 2 baths. The kitchen is well equipped and the washer was easy to use. Ian provided several recommendations for restaurants and bars, and I had some time, so I tried about half of them. Much better than the recommendations I got online. Parking is tight in the area, I drove but I followed the Google Maps pinpoint Ian sent for the first place (he sent three) and was taken care of by two sisters who run the first park, about a half block from the flat. Easy peezy. My only quibbles were the street can get a little noisy at night (mostly cars driving by with loud music) but not a lot and there are a few airplanes taking off and landing. I think this is more of a Heraklion problem thought rather than one specific to the apartment. Ian was a great host, would stay again.

Je tiens à remercier Ian pour sa réactivité et sa disponibilité d'arrangement. Nous avons pu profiter d'un early check-in très arrangeant car notre arrivée était tôt dans la journée. Ian nous a même proposer un late check-out que nous aurions volontiers bénéficier mais notre vol nous en empêchait. La maison était conforme à la description et aux photos. L'endroit est spacieux et tout équiper pour passer un très bon séjour. L'emplacement est proche à pied de la mer et des infrastructures (restaurants, bars, magasins). Nous reviendrons sans hésiter dans cette charmante maison dans laquelle nous avons pu séjourner pendant nos vacances en Crète.

My sisters and I stayed for some nights while exploring Crete and we had the most incredible experience from start to finish! It's about a 15-20min walk from the Ferry port and there's paid parking around the corner from the airbnb that is super affordable 8 euro a day. Ian gave us instructions about the parking and it was so simple and easy! The space is beautiful!! It is so clean and modern. The bathrooms are gorgeous. Location is walkable to everything to do in Heraklion but is quiet and private as well. The rooftop was our favorite way to start and end each day! We cannot say enough how much we loved the experience here. We would stay again for sure next time we are in Crete!
