Sorry for the delay in our review, our college Fall Semester stated when we got back. We had a huge write up but $ABNB only allows 1k chrs so this is highly condensed. Great central location near many hiking trails, no light pollution, and no cell reception—perfect for disconnecting. We stayed in the Eagle cabin. The sheets & comforter were thick & warm. The Constellation Creek staff are extremely friendly & knowledgeable. Tip: fill up in town, it's ~10¢ cheaper than Truckee. Dogs, especially Abby, are friendly & will follow you around the property. We spent most of our time on trails & only used the tiny house for sleeping. Bring bug spray, mosquitoes are dense. Once we turned on our Thermacell Mosquito Repellent we didn't have any more mosquitoes in the cabin. We give the Eagle cabin 4 stars because the amount we paid for our stay was more than we expected for what we got. But other than that, the place is definitely 4 thumbs up.

If you’d like to be harassed by an insane acting Host at 10:10 am )unusually early check out time) standing outside your cabin and shouting “You must leave! You must leave now!”, then this is the place for you. It seems hard to believe, but it’s actually true. Not only did he scream like outside the cabin, but after about 10 minutes, he entered the cabin and watched me finish packing. I’m not sure the psychological problem he suffers from but apparently his wife Georgie suffers from the same issue. Both were exceedingly paranoid and distrustful the entire time I was there. As if that alone didn’t deserve one star (or less), the little electric stove that served as the only source of heat never got the room temperature higher than 60 degrees the whole night. I was freezing the whole time and the only blanket was a thin flimsy one that did not keep me warm. In fact o came down with a cold the next day. If you choose to stay here, don’t say you weren’t forewarned!

The cabin was a joy to stay at! The hosts were friendly and accommodating, and very dog-friendly (kudos to the doggie bag)! That was important to my partner and my stay, as we brought our 2.5 year old shiba inu along to the snow. He got along with the host's dog Blue and the neighborhood dog Abby, who would guide us on our walks around the secluded property and its many neat moments. The cabin amenities were modest and very appropriate for the off-grid stay, and the fire place and record player completed the vibe. The host also gave some recommendations of things to do around the area and also suggestions on how to coordinate a same-day stop by the Sierra Hot Springs which we can not be more grateful for. Overall, the experience was the white winter wonderland getaway we were hoping for!
