In the heart of the Lot Valley is our comfortable cottage 'Maison Mariela', five minutes to the village and ideally situated to explore the numerous villages and Vineyards along the river,to sample the famous Malbec the 'Black wine of Cahors'. The tourist sites of Chateau Bonaguil, Rocamadour, St Cirq-la-Popie, Grottes de Peche Merle and Gouffre de Padirac, 25 mins, to Cahors and within an hour of the sites in neighbouring Dordogne. The cottage stands in its own private garden with private parking and terrace within the grounds of our property. On the ground floor the spacious living room has 2 sets of French Doors out to the terrace and lawned garden with mature trees. A large dining table within the lounge, which can also be used as a work-space. There is a fully fitted kitchen with 8 gas burner, double oven range cooker, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, coffee maker, kettle , toaster and a slow cooker. Within the kitchen is another dining table. There is a large bedroom on the ground floor overlooking the rear garden with king-size bed, and built in wardrobes. An adjoining bathroom with full size bath, separate shower, vanity and WC. A staircase leads to the other bedrooms on the first floor Bedroom 2 with King-size bed and en-suite shower-room with vanity and WC. Bedroom 3, a large twin with 2 large single beds and bedroom 4, a single both sharing a shower-room with vanity and WC . N.B. The 2 x large singles beds can comfortably sleep 1 adult or 2 young children. . The cottage is well equipped with good quality modern fittings and utensils. The price includes all utilities, including a supply of logs for the wood-burner and heating during the winter months, bed linen, tea towels, bath towels. There is excellent Fibre broadband connection and Wifi access throughout the property but we cannot be liable should there be any loss or interruption to the Internet service. There is a CD player, DVD player and a 40" TV with UK Freeview and French channels. There is a selection of DVDs, books and games. A Pergola in the private garden with table and chairs to seat 8 , large Barbecue and other seating areas and parasols within the garden. We can provide, at no extra cost, high chair, stair gate,baby bath support and travel cot should they be required. Please let us know. A couple of minutes walk across from the cottage and you can be fishing on the River Lot and the area is popular for cycling and has many walking trails. Secure overnight storage for cycles can be provided.
