House is beautifully presented and the location is perfect for getting around Melbourne. The only small point is how far the bathroom is from the bedrooms; it’s a long way for small children at night! Alan was a great host - clear and easy instructions on how to check in and out & made everything very easy. Thank you!

Alan’s place is a perfect jumping off point to explore Melbourne. Close to all the cafes, restaurants, and shopping of Fitzroy and a quick train or Uber ride into the heart of the city and to all attractions. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed for a week at Alan’s place with our baby. Overall we enjoyed our stay and Alan’s responsiveness. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable etc! A few things I would note for future guests, the layout of the house includes bathroom, dining and kitchen downstairs and the two bedrooms and lounge room upstairs. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if you’re not good with stairs, as they are quite a hike. The second bedroom (not the master) has a skylight in it - and while beautiful, we did feel was slightly impractical. It meant we werent able to have our baby sleep in that room, and we weren’t able to enjoy some much needed sleep ins!! The lounge room backs onto smith street, which over the weekend can be a little noisy. Since we were only in there watching movies, we didn’t mind but would be worth noting if someone was to sleep in that room. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thanks Alan!
