The accommodation is really self-contained with its own access, but it was also nice to know the hosts were nearby in case I had any questions. It had everything I needed for my fairly long stay and I was able to commute to work using the 1 train from the subway station that was only a short walk away (about 8 mins). The hosts let me do my own thing which I appreciated and were very responsive and friendly when I needed something. Garden Gourmet - a really great supermarket - was within easy walking distance and has a fantastic range of produce.

Both Lauren and Tim were very helpful with our requests and they really made us feel very comfortable. It’s a great place. Very close to all amenities required with lovely hosts. Will definitely want to stay at this place in my future visits.

This is a great place for a couple. It has easy access to manhattan. The hosts are warm, accommodating and friendly.

Lauren was very tentative and caring when it came to both my wife and I. The air conditioning was a plus during the 80 degree plus wrather. Good location, close to family and places I’m used to. Quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend for anyone visiting NYC!

The place was perfect for what we needed. All the amenities of home. Clean and tidy space. Safe entrance and well lit streets. Bed was extra comfortable and a/c kept us nice and cool from the humidity. Lots of extras like coffee, sugar, condiments, etc. provided. Everything worked well and made use of the fridge, oven, stove, microwave, coffee pot, and toaster oven. Host response time was within minutes with any questions I had along the way. Top notch host. Short walk off the #1 Red subway off of 238th St. stop but was uphill so we did take the Bx3 bus sometimes two stops up the hill to get off right at the corner of the street. Stop & Shop and Rite Aid were close by along with a variety of restaurants. Getting to the Bronx Zoo was ideal. Bx3 to the Bx9 bus and it drops you right off at the gate in about 28 minutes. 7 day pass of the subways and buses is only $33.
