Overall this place is worth a stay. It’s a beautiful Elizabethan house, is super close to the beach and a pub that serves amazing food. Beds are comfortable and the house has all kitchen equipment necessary. We had a couple of issues (toaster not working and no batteries for a remote), but Oscar sorted these within 24 hours of me messaging him. The main issue though was conflicting information about check in/out times. The initial info upon booking says check in is at 3pm and check out is at 10am but the information sent by cottages(dot)com says check in is at 5pm and check out is 9am!!! Oscar was responsive to messages about this though and offered some flexibility which was appreciated. It is worth noting that a couple of sets of stairs in this property might be tricky for older people or people with mobility issues. There is one set of stairs that are easier than the others. My mum (75 years old) was able to manage these.

Elizabethan House has very handy car parking. Qiddles to the left, the pub, Inn on the Cove, to the right, the sea , behind sea defences, staright ahead. Good flexible accommodation. Loads of charatcer. Well set up kitchen. Super hot kitchen courtyard. Ample drying lines. Weymouth east, Portland Bill easy.

Beautifully renovated old house. Great for kids to explore with two separate staircases and loft bedrooms with their own shared space. Very clean. Perfect for exploring Portland, Weymouth, Lyme Regis. Good communication with hosts.

Interesting 17C house . Stircases narrow and located alongside a constantly busy and noisy main road. Instructions all in one folder would have been useful. Shame the TV exploded when we were there.
