We live between two working farms and this comes with the positives and drawbacks - sometimes there are passing tractors, but these and the other residents in the hamlet are the only traffic that passes through.
Ploeuc itself has a great feel, with a weekly market and regular events held in the summer, we try to get involved and immerse ourselves in the local culture, what we particularly like about around here is that there are not many English people and the locals really make a fuss of you if you try to speak their language.

We have lots of gorgeous walks straight out of the front door! There is a little path that leads down to the river though the forest and there are some great views if you take the track opposite and go up the hill.
Further afield, the beaches on the north coast at Binic and Pleneuf Val Andre are beautiful and there's a coastal path which gives some breath-taking views over the scenery there.
Whilst there is a train station in Hermitage Lorge is it not particularly well serviced, the most convenient stations are St Brieuc and Lamballe (you can catch a train to Paris from both) we do recommend a car to get around
