Using 100% renewable energy and providing modern, open-plan living and wonderful sea views, The Seahouse is an ideal, and very green choice for your family holiday. A short walk along the coastal path brings you straight to the beach. A short walk along the coastal path brings you straight to the beach. Beautifully decorated and furnished with a seaside theme, a well-equipped kitchen opens to the sitting and dining room with french doors out to the garden with a patio area and barbecue. Upstairs, the master bedroom has its own en-suite shower room and a king-size bed. Bedroom two has a double bed and sea views with bedroom three a single, with a trundle, pull out bed underneath. The village of Portreath has many shops, cafes and pubs with cycle paths and walks along with South West Coastal Path and Tehidy Country Park on your doorstep. Looking to book for more family or friends? Barnacles (Sleeps 6), Waveline (Sleeps 5) and Seascape (Sleeps 5) are also found at this well-appointed location. Additional Information: Sorry, no pets. The Seahouse was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The walk down to the beach took about 15 minutes through a wood along a public footpath, it was really safe for the kids and you pass a reindeer, emu and chickens! Portreath beach itself is lovely at low tide, with rock pools and caves to play in, high tide the beach is good for bodyboards or surfing. Portreath not very picturesque but it’s very family friendly with a couple of cafes, a bakery and a shop.

Located next to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is the lovely village of Portreath. This delightful seaside resort has a varied selection of independent shops, restaurants and cafes; such as The Hub, a great place to enjoy lunch right on the seafront. Don't forget to explore Portreath's historic harbour which is part of the UNESCO's World Heritage Site.
Portreath is home to a lovely golden, sandy beach which is popular for swimming, surfing and kayaking. Why not learn to surf at the Portreath Surfing School.
Looking for something adventurous? Stithians Lake is a great place to windsurf, paddleboard, kayak and sail. You can bring your own equipment, hire it on site or book a lesson with one of their qualified instructors. For more water based fun head over to Kernow Adventure Park and spend an afternoon at their Aquapark, perfect for the whole family.
Soak up some local history by exploring stunning mines such Heartlands which is the perfect place for a family day out or the iconic Wheal Coates which can be accessed on the South West Coastal Path. Looking to explore more in nature? Head to the stunning Penrose Water Gardens, set across 6 acres of marshland and woodland and containing over 100 varieties of plants. Don't forget to also visit the stunning Tehidy Country Park; 250 acres of peaceful woodlands and lakes to explore.
