The most beautiful, comfortable and magical cottage in Palomino, 87 Km from the Santa Marta airport. In this 3 bedroom cottage you will enjoy the best days with your family and friends taking advantage of the invigorating energy of the Sierra while enjoying the beautiful beach in front of the cottage, the pool and the beautiful social areas while you stay in one of the hammocks. You will not find a more ideal place to take advantage of what the Sierra and Palomino can offer you. Welcome! Each of the rooms has a bathroom where you will feel in a magical land. Their designs make them very special places inside the cottage. The kitchen, which seems taken from a fantasy book, has 2 refrigerators in which you can store everything you want for the days of your stay. This property is managed by a team of professionals who dedicate time and effort to give you a memorable experience. The place is taken care by a wonderful family which is in charge of the management and care of the house and its beautiful gardens. You will see them regularly through the gardens doing their job. A service personal must be covered directly by the guests. This personnel will clean, cook and serve you during your stay. The personnel will be there, daily (7am - 3pm) and its price per day is $40.000 per person. There are 2, so it will be a total of $80.000 and must be paid in cash directly to them.

We stayed here for five days. In general we would recommend this place as an excellent location in the region to stay but do read for full comments. The house is truly spacious and beautiful. It has no air conditioning but is aired from its thatched and bamboo structure and the proximity to fresh sea side. There are three huge bedrooms in a nice traditional style with wooden floors, lovely comfy beds with mosquito nets. There is a parking area and service staff who live in the service unit. There is a kitchen with two fridges. There is a private pool which is cleaned daily very nice and good sized. The property leads straight on to the beach which is close to private because there is no public access routes and even on busy periods, you won’t see people around. There are great wildlife opportunities with seabirds like Pelicans and also lots of tropical birds and iguanas in the gardens. We loved Casa Yuluka. However visitors should note some things: - first you have to pay two people for cooking and cleaning each day in addition to the Airbnb fees. This is mandatory. They will only do two of the three daily meals so you have to cook your own breakfast or dinner (or pay extra hours). The cooking was however delicious and the property always clean. - the sea and beach are pristine but the waves are strong and really for body boarders or surfers or stronger swimmers with others restricted to paddling and cautions need taking with families - the nearest town was Palomino. It is well reviewed in some travel guides but we found it highly over rated. The beach at Yuluka is great but Palomino is not very agreeable to us with no good restaurants we could find and the beach and rivers literally jam packed with tourists. (We stayed in Easter week.) There are places to visit in the broader area like Los Flamencos (over 1 hour drive) which is amazing or Tayrona. National Park. We basically concluded it was not much worth leaving the property to go elsewhere locally but enjoyed the longer excursions. Casa Yuluka was like an amazing oasis insulated from Palomino (which is in real need of better development.) - it’s critical to have a car because it’s quite remote with no nearby shops. We had one but just saying! - if you are a light sleeper bear in mind the sea is very strong and there is a constant sound of strong (not gentle) waves and occasional cars passing by. That all said we would visit again for sure. It’s a special place.
Las fotos no le hacen justicia: la cabaña es muy amplia y cómoda, la ubicación es ideal y su acceso a la playa es inmejorable. Si deseas una cabaña en la playa con todas las comodidades pero aislada de los demás, este es el lugar perfecto.
La casa es bellísima, espaciosa y muy cómoda. La ubicación es excepcional y la experiencia fue maravillosa. Súper recomendada para familias y amigos. La comunicación muy fluida y oportuna. Sin dudarlo, volveríamos! Pasamos increíble.

Palomino is only a few minutes away by taxi. There you will find a variety of restaurants and a great gastronomic offer. In the same way, if your thing is to stay at home, you can request take out to the different market points in Palomino and from any other restaurant that provides such service. We will give you all the necessary information as soon as you arrive.
For transportation from Santa Marta, we have the possibility of offering the service of a trusted van which can take you back and forth so that you can easily and comfortably arrive from Santa Marta to the cottage in Palomino. It's about an hour and a half trip from Santa Marta on a beautiful road with lots of vegetation. This is a service provided directly by the driver of the Van, in which we do not generate any intermediation, but he is a totally fair person in his rates and a very reliable person of the cottage, which is why we recommend him.
But of you want to, you can arrive from Santa Marta in any of the transport companies that provide this service (Berlinas or Marsol for example.)
