We liked the place - exactly matched the description. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Two challenges were (i) exiting the driveway onto frequently-busy Frederick Road (with limited sightlines) and (ii) getting in and out of the old-fashioned tub. We eventually figured out the best way to do this way just like entering a kayak, putting hands on both sides of the top to enter and exit. But all that aside, Kathryn was super helpful and responsive, and we'd stay here again.

Absolutely loved Kathryn’s home. We love historic houses and Kathyrn’s done a great job making this home comfortable while maintaining the charm of the home. She is a great host and offered us early check-in and was responsive with all communication. Everything one would need is provided and the space was perfect for our family of 6. House was immaculate. Claw foot tub was a treat. The house does sit on a busy road, however; the side entry door is enclosed with a gate/small yard. There is a river view and train tracks are just beyond (rarely heard trains). The beautiful and historic town of Ellicott City is nearly walkable, about 0.5 miles away with quaint shops and restaurants. We loved our stay and will definitely book here again when visiting family in the area.
