Two minutes walk from the beach , ten minutes walk to the pub. Murrioch is a peaceful seaside village, located in the Gaeltacht. Helen’s cottage is a gem…. It is homely and warm and a lovely, short drive from Dingle (taking the direct route). The location is remote…. This was not a worry for us as it was what we were looking for and catered appropriately but there are not shops other than Dingle so be prepared. There are two pubs in BallyDavid but only one serves food. My only concern was the cottage does not have Wifi and due to the remote location, accessibility is an issue so you have to be prepared. I would totally recommend staying in Helen’s Cottage - lovely 🥰
This beautiful restored cottage steps from a wide sandy beach is in a charming, quiet village not far from Dingle. Helen was easy to communicate with and very responsive. She even left us some fresh salad greens to enjoy. Four of us had everything we needed. The conservatory was a great place for an evening chat. Thanks for everything.
Helen could not have been more kind, considerate & welcoming. The cottage is comfy & adorable, well kitted out, has everything you need!
This beautifully restored cottage was the pick of our stays during a three week tour of Cork and Kerry. The many curios, paintings, photographs and antiquities that populate the cottage provided an hour’s investigation alone, not least the array of ‘museum’ pieces situated in a small gallery overlooking the sitting room. The accommodation is spacious with excellent showers, ample cooking equipment and a utilities room with much-needed washing machine and dryer. And the location is perfect; just a short stroll to a beautiful beach across which proceeds The Dingle Way. We strongly recommend heading in the direction of Wine Strand where there’s a succession of beautiful coves and bays. Ten minutes’ walk in the other direction is Ballydavid, which benefits from being a dead-end and where two waterside bars offer perfect settings for evening snifters. It's hard to imagine better self-catering accommodation on the Dingle Peninsula. Simon and Gail - Cornwall, UK
There is a large and quiet beach, two minutes from the cottage. The village of Ballydavid is ten minutes walk. There are two pubs there, one of which offers food. There are amazing walks and treks throughout the area
We have two bikes available to guests. There is a limited rural bus service. Car is essential
